Launching V1.0 of ML With Aryan

Dear Reader

If you are reading this, you might be one of the following:

  • Fellow Somaiyaite (a senior, a junior, a batchmate or even a faculty)
  • A Linkedin connection
  • An ML enthusiast from X
  • Friends/Family...

I appreciate your time and attention, and without further ado, here's my idea and vision behind "ML With Aryan" (MLA).

What is ML With Aryan?

MLA is an independent platform, which I developed from scratch using MERN.
The purpose of this platform is to share my own, independent ideas from the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
This is my effort at sharing my learnings, with which I hope to establish certain credibility in the domain.

Who is this platform for?

This platform is for you if you are:

  • an ML researcher
  • an ML engineer
  • undergrad/grad student majoring in data science (specifically intelligent systems)

But why AI/ML?

As we move towards a world where speed is the key and automation is the basis of this speed, it is imperative to understand the foundations that make up the backbone of these systems.
From regression based prediction models, unsupervised clustering based models, to boosted trees, to agents that automate complete workflow, the fundamentals of Machine Learning and practical AI acts as the launchpad for all these applications.

With increase in the scale at which these intelligent systems are being developed and incorporated in the industry, there's no reason to not understand the working of the tech that we'll soon be engulfed with.

However, with the advent of AI assistants for coding and technical stuff, a large chunk of the upcoming engineers lack the foundational knowledge about machine learning: handling edge cases, outliers and newer data becomes difficult for them to work with.

Apart from this, as I learn more about this domain, there are often topics which I would love to remember and recollect on top of my brain. Therefore sharing it with an audience feels like an effective way to do so.

Why not post on third party platforms like Medium/Substack?

  • Publishing on my own platform provides me an opportunity to have complete autonomy over my content.
  • Helps me have complete ownership of what I share and publish, and not just a part of it.
  • Although not being on a third party platform will affect the reach of the posts in the beginning, I aim to make it up moving forward.

The Road Ahead

Still at a nascent stage, the platform will keep evolving over time with multiple functional and content-based updates lined up.

On this note, as I introduce this MVP version of the website, I am open to all the suggestions, feedbacks and ideas that will help improve it.

See You Soon, See You Often
